 It can be heartbreaking having to deal with infertility when everything within you cries out for a child of your own. These feelings  can be especially difficult during the holiday season when images of families and children enchanted by gifts are everywhere.

Family gatherings can sometimes present painful scenarios as well. You may try to make the most of being a terrific aunt but your heart still aches.  Well meaning family members may ask you for the umpteenth time when you'll start your own family.

 

CTV news hosted a week long news story this past week, addressing a different aspect of infertility in a segment called Making Babies on the evening news each night.  Topics included:

 

This is a beautiful lecture on connection, vulnerability, compassion and living with authenticity.  Really worth the 20min.

 

Most of the websites, books and resources related to fertility are directed towards the treatment of women; however, it does take two to make a baby.  A new book called How to Make Love to a Plastic Cup, is a man's guide to anything and everything in the infertility universe.
