Canadian Breast Cancer Run for the Cure - Sunday October 3

In recent months, the Elements of Health Centre team has begun working with patients diagnosed with breast cancer and using acupuncture as a support to their healing. Our relationships with these wonderful people, along with family and friends we know personally who have been affected by this disease, have inspired us to participate in the Canadian Breast Cancer Run for the Cure in Victoria on Sunday October 3rd.

From now until the fundraising event, $2 from every acupuncture and massage treatment will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation to help fund research, education and awareness programs, early diagnosis and effective treatment, and a positive quality of life for those living with breast cancer.

Did you know.....

• An estimated 22,400 Canadian women and 170 men were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008.
• Twenty years ago when the Foundation first opened its doors, 3 out of 4 women diagnosed with breast cancer died from the disease. Today 3 out of 4 women diagnosed survive the disease.
